Arbitration
is a process in
which people in
conflict request
the assistance
of an impartial
and neutral
third party to
make a decision
for them
regarding
contested
issues. The
decision may be
either advisory
or binding. One
arbitrator or a
panel of
arbitrators can
conduct
arbitration.
Arbitration is
private,
informal, and
generally faster
than a judicial
proceeding. The
parties agree
upon the
arbitrator who
will listen to
testimony,
accept evidence
and render an
opinion. |
